The Interlacement Band includes all those bands which are formed of a number of lines interlaced or plaited together, They are usually symmetrical to the longitudinal axis.
These patterns are used as borders in painting, textiles, pottery, intarsia, and the ornamentation of manuscripts.
There are many styles of Interlacement Bands, and one of these styles is the Ordinary Antique style, which consists of three types, single, double and triple.
