PRECATIONS IN USING MICROSCOPE
➤ It must always be carried with both hands. With on hand holding the limb while the other is placed under the base to provide support.
➤ The lenses must be cleaned by wiping them with a special soft lens tissue or tissue paper moistened with ethanol.
➤ The stage of the microscope must be kept clean and dry.
➤ Avoid wetting the lens, the object on the slide should always be covered with a cover slide (a very thin piece of glass).
➤ To avoid breaking the slide, the low power objective must always be used first to observe, and always moved upwards when focusing. High power can then be used if necessary.

Diaphragm/Iris: This controls the amount of light entering the condenser and, subsequently, the specimen. Adjusting it can enhance contrast and clarity.
Arm: The arm supports the upper parts of the microscope and allows you to carry and move it.
Base: The base provides stability and support for the entire microscope.
Nosepiece: The nosepiece holds the objective lenses and can be rotated to select different magnifications.
Mechanical Stage Controls: Some microscopes have mechanical stage controls, which enable you to move the slide horizontally or vertically with precision.
Rack and Pinion: These mechanisms are often used for adjusting the position of the stage or the height of the condenser.
