Telstra Case Study: Komatsu - Cloud
Komatsu became one of the first companies in Australia to move to Telstra's Cloud Computing platform in 2010. The success of a test they ran simulating a three day failover during which Komatsu ran its business in the backup environment, now motivates Komatsu to actively look for new ways that the Cloud solution can enhance its business.

Komatsu Australia is a leading supplier of earth moving equipment for the mining and construction industries. A technology leader within its industry, Komatsu became one of the first companies in Australia to move to Telstra's Cloud Computing platform in 2010. Soon after the move, as part of its Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, Komatsu successfully simulated a three day failover where Komatsu's ICT operations shifted from its Sydney data centre to Melbourne. During the test Komatsu ran its business in the backup environment. The success of the test now motivates Komatsu to actively look for new ways that the Cloud solution can enhance its business.
