The tone of the Fender Precision Bass was undeniably quintessential in shaping the sound of the classic Motown / Soul / Funk / R&B eras - the legendary records that would later become a staple in the sampling diet of Hip Hop producers.
This sample pack isn't a collection of loops but rather two octaves of each note individually played on a Fender 50's Precision Bass. From the open low E-String to the 9th fret on the G-String, each chromatically recorded note was then sampled with the Boss SP-202 at it's various sample rates.
I created this collection to be something I could keep on my phone (e.g. as an album in iTunes) allowing me to have my P Bass with me wherever I am when making a beat.
Pack contains:
⦁ 25 Individually Played Notes (2 Octaves - Open Low E-String to 9th Fret G-String)
⦁ 3 Muted Notes
⦁ 7 Slides
That's 35 Precision Bass samples, each with 5 variations (The "Original" recording and the four SP-202 sample rates: "Hi-Fi", "Standard", "Lo-Fi 1" and "Lo-Fi 2").
Total of 175 samples.
Boss SP-202 Sample Rates:
⦁ Hi-Fi: 31.25 kHz
⦁ Standard: 15.63 kHz
⦁ Lo-Fi 1: 7.81 kHz
⦁ Lo-Fi 2: 3.91 kHz
Also included is a reference guide listing the notes of all the Major and Minor scales in every key.
