In 2020, sprites over the Urals appeared surprisingly early - the first of them were recorded in the evening of April 22. After that, in May, four more cases were recorded, which even too light nights did not prevent:

00:23 - May 14, a distance of not more than 350 km / 217 mi
00:27 - May 25-26, a massive convective storm at a distance of 400 to 600 km / 249-373 mi
02:31 - May 29, to the thunderstorm front more than 550 km / 342 mi
