***

Hey guys, David here from nintendo3dsblog.com and we decided to not head to the last day of Nintendo World, but instead just hang out in Chiba and film a bunch of stuff, like this video.

The 3DS is awesome and all, but the lines on day 2 were longer than the ones on the first day, and I'm not too keen to wait 60 minutes or more just to play Ridge Racer. We managed to get to every major game already, like Ocarina of Time, Kid Icarus and the Augmented Reality games, so that's probably enough for now.

Anyways, it's been super crazy these past few days and a lot of stuff has happened. I'll just run through everything so everyone is up to speed.

Yesterday I got footage of the new Nintendo 3DS software lineup video that showed off a ton of games we hadn't seen in motion before. And they looked awesome. Unfortunately Nintendo of America took it down, but hopefully a direct feed version will pop-up soon enough.

I couldn't get footage of any other games because there was strictly no filming allowed of the 3D displays. Which sucks, but did repeatedly try to get some video. I'd always be told off within a few seconds though. There were just a ton of Nintendo employees on the show floor.

Aside from that though, there's been a new "Game Coins" feature revealed that interacts with the pedometer built into the 3DS.

Essentially, it tracks your steps and gives you coins that can then be used to unlock features and content within games.

This sounds sort of silly, but I like how it encourages people to walk around with their 3DS as it makes the StreetPass functionality a lot more useful.

I got hands on time with most of the games at Nintendo World, and have started writing up previews on the blog. I might do a "Best Of" video at some point in the near future, but just quickly I reckon the best games were Kid Icarus, Ocarina of Time and Street Fighter. In that order.

The augmented reality game, Target Shooting, was also very cool. But we only got a short snippet of it to play though.

The Japanese launch line-up has also been announced and it's not looking too good. Street Fighter is the only game I'd consider a must-have, but don't be totally demoralised just yet.

Dead or Alive is confirmed for the North American launch, but won't be available on day one in Japan. I suspect a bunch of games will follow this trend because they want to make a big splash in the larger gaming market.

Prices for games were also announced and I believe they will cost about $10 more on average than games on the regular DS in Japan.

Once again, this probably won't directly relate to the US prices. But still expect games to cost at least $5 more than current gen games.

Speaking of money matters though, it might be a good idea to preorder the Nintendo 3DS as soon as you can.

Only 2.5 milion units will be available outside of Japan before March 31st, which is not a whole lot.

There'll either be widespread shortages or Nintendo plans to push back the European launch and leave those 2.5 million units for just the US.

Either way though it'd be a good idea to put in your order soon.

Anyways, like I said, just a quick run down.

It's been very hectic these last few days and I've probably missed a bunch of important stuff.

Just keep checking the blog and watching these videos and I'll try to catch up on everything while still pushing ahead with new content.

But that's it so I'll talk to you later.
