ROY - RISMON "HEATS UP" RISMON IS ANGRY THAT 800 OF HIS BOOKS WERE "STOLEN"
Roy Suryo spoke out about the restorative justice (RJ) petition filed by Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar in the alleged fake diploma case of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
"I pray that our friend, Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar, will be given guidance by Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, given enlightenment, and given the best for him," Roy told reporters at the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Headquarters on Thursday (March 12).
Roy Suryo also emphasized that he and Tifauzia Tyassuma, also known as Dr. Tifa, will continue pursuing the diploma case.
"Yesterday, I also spoke with Dr. Tifa directly, even via video call. We said we wouldn't back down even 0.1 percent. "Why 0.1 percent? Well, that's the remainder of the 99.9 percent, that's 0.1 percent, so we're not withdrawing," he said.
On the same occasion, Roy's attorney, Refly Harun, stated that his office was unaware of Rismon's RJ request.
"We only learned about it through media reports. But of course, we respect the steps taken by the principal, whatever they are, as long as they are within the legal framework," he said.
Refly admitted that his office has not been able to communicate with Rismon to inquire about his reasons for filing the RJ.
"Unfortunately, to date, we have not been able to communicate with Rismon Sianipar. "We can't decide anything yet," said Refly.
"Our concern is the most important question: when he filed or requested Restorative Justice, was he acting of his free will, or was he under duress?" he continued.
