Union Pay cards are working in Turkey in 2022, especially after MIR cards stopped working at the end of September. In the video, I talked about which ATMs in Turkey accept Union Pay, whether you can withdraw cash in lira and dollars, and how we use Union Pay cards in supermarkets and cafes.
So, I promised to write and update the cash withdrawal rate in 2-3 days:
Both banks recalculated the rate to 3.49 and refunded the debited funds! It turns out it's better to withdraw at TEB Bank, where there's no 7% commission!
Since May 2023, Tinkoff has FINALLY begun issuing UnionPay cards to ALL bank clients; previously, only a select few were eligible. The card costs 1,000 rubles, which is quite reasonable and should work in Turkey.
