What is a proxy? A lower resolution of the footage you shot which means that you can edit faster.
1. Media Browser
2. Click wrench
3. click Ingest
4. Create proxies
5. High resolution
** Create a seperate folder for the proxy, just a suggestion so you can which are proxy and which are regular
----Then click Control A to select all the clips and click import. At this time all the clips that you selected will be sent to your media encoder bc that is where it will create the proxy.
