Tips for Facebook Live & Premier Engagement
Hey everyone -
H HERE WITH A FEW TIPS AND TRICKS FOR BETTER engagement on our FACEBOOK LIVE VIDEOS...
Wether you are prerecording for a later premiere - or going live and on the spot ... these tips should help you better engage your audience at a deeper level...
And note - while your video May say it has thousands of views ... that could mean a 3 second , 1 minute or 3 minute view ... don’t assume they watched the entire broadcast...
A better measure is how long they watched and how engaged they were and these tips should help...
1 - engage immediately
Leverage the first minute to welcome people by name ( even if prerecorded ) ... to ask them a question and to ask them to share on Facebook or even text someone to join you online... this will create a buffer as people join and also build immediate buzz and hype for the stream
2 - don’t be long... specially if you don’t do this often. Based on the analytics of how long our people watch our content...
5 is best
10 is good
15 you are pushing it
20 you better be jimmy Fallon
Remember - less is more. And easier to share... we are used to watching shorter / and faster videos online ... specially if it’s just a talking head video like this one.
#3 - treat this like a ZTV video..
What’s the big idea?
What’s the memory verse or takeaway ?
Make it practical and simple for it to be remembered and retaught.
#4 - is a 6 in one some technical tip
Bundle that most of you know but won’t hurt to be reminded of .
light your face well ( don’t love main source of light behind you )
angle from top down or at eye level (never bottom up)
occupy 1/3-2/3 of the screen
use a tripod or computer webcam to keep it steady and not handheld
be in a quiet place and speak up - audio clarity does matter
shoot horizontal for Facebook.
That’s it for now -
Hope these tips are helpful in helping us engage the thousands watching us online .
