86% of organizations are still using Excel. 75% say Excel is central to their financial and operational planning processes. While those numbers may seem surprising or perhaps even discouraging, it doesn't mean that those companies are just using standalone spreadsheets.
In our own BPM pulse research study, 84% of respondents said they're still using spreadsheets even if they have a new performance management solution.
The familiar interface aids in adoption and the system itself addresses the challenges inherent in just using standalone spreadsheets. However, finance still has challenges.
