HOW DOES YOUR TEAM SOUND ANSWERING THE PHONE AT YOUR DENTAL OFFICE??
It is easy to forget that how we SOUND on the phone is actually really important!
To many, as soon as the word ‘etiquette’ is said, their immediate reaction is - “Well, I don’t need an etiquette lesson!” (Yes! We heard you... [;-)
We are not saying that everyone is in need of an etiquette lesson - our Advanced Phone Mastery Coach, Missy, does have a few pointers and take-aways from a recent mastermind call though that she is here to share with us! We recommend taking a moment to consider this:
1. It can be easy to forget that it is a person in need, calling your office!
2. YOU NEED TO ANSWER YOUR PHONES - during the day, callers should not get to your voicemail. Find a way to answer your calls!
3. Every time the phone rings in a dental office, there is a reason that person is calling!
4. We need to do everything we can to take advantage of that small window of time we have to help convert those callers into patients and get them into the schedule!
5. It is RUDE to answer the phone then place the caller directly on hold, why not ASK first?
6. We need to take the time to remember that caller IS a person!
7. We want every person who calls to feel like and KNOW that we are going to make the time to take care of them!
