An introductory runthrough of web development in the Go language. An introduction to the net/http library, and how to write handlers. A few choices in web frameworks will be discussed, such as negroni, martini, and gocraft/web. The html/template library will be introduced.
Also some discussion of database/sql, for interfacing with relational databases. If possible, websockets will be discussed as well.
Ideally attendees will have a basic understanding of Go. At least some familiarity with Go or similar languages such as C or Java will be beneficial, and an understanding of HTTP and the basics of web programming.
