Teracopy (http://www.codesector.com/teracopy) is a program that completely improves the process of copying or moving files or folders from one place to another on your PC. You'll notice this especially with large files, as it makes file transfers much faster and also shows the exact time remaining, unlike Windows Explorer, which often goes from indicating hours to seconds in an instant.
It doesn't negate Windows Explorer at all; it simply adds an extra feature: every time you want to copy or move something, it asks you whether you want to perform the operation with Windows Explorer or Teracopy.
The stable version is compatible with Windows 2000, XP, Vista, 7, 8, and 8.1, while the beta version no longer supports Windows 2000 or XP.
I recommend downloading the stable version, as the beta version may have occasional bugs.
