----------------------------------
Improve performance in Davinci Resolve:
1, Hardwares:
CPU: Used for FusionFX & transcoding.
GPU: Used for ResolveFX & transcoding.
RAM: As much as possible, especialy with Fusion. If you dont have enough RAM then you have to split your composition into serveral small compositions.
Storage: Need a "Fast" "Ddedicated" disk cache.
2, Software:
Transcoding input file to keep it easy for your CPU & storage to handle - Use optimized media with h264, h265 & proxy media with RAW file.
Lower resolution & quality - Proxy mode (use half res because quarter res often get crashed), timeline resolution, change the quality, turn off motion blur,...
Caching:
Automaticly cache the whole Fusion comp - Fusion Memory Cache.
Cache specific node in Fusion comp - Fusion Disk Cache (used to keep the result of intensive node and final node and to to lower CPU, RAM, VGA usage). Each node need a dedicated sub folder to store the image files (JPEG & PNG are much more smaller than RAW & EXR).
+) Automaticly cache the whole timeline in Edit Page & Color Page - Render Cache.
+) Cache specific edit in the timeline in Edit Page & Color Page - Render in place.
Other ways to improve performance in Resolve:
Subdivide large composition into several small compositions to reduce RAM usage to view it.
Bypass Fusion and Color Grade in some instances.
Buy paid version to get hardware acceleration.

PS:
1, I'm just an amateur then something upon may be wrong.
2, I don't have a fast dedicated disk cache.
3, RAM disk which has very small size does not suits for the disk cache. An dedicated NVME SSD is the best for it.
4, You can switch from Fusion to Resolve while rendering the cache file. It's useful if you have a very many cores CPU & strong VGA to keep your machine working smoothly while rendering the cache file.
