To use the features described in this video, use EverWeb 4.5 or higher.
EverWeb’s Carousel widget is a highly customizable, multi media slider widget. You can add and combine elements such as images, videos, widgets, maps, and text in to the Carousel widget.
In this video, we will look at the basic features of the Carousel widget.
To add a Carousel widget to the page, drag and drop it from the Widgets tab.
The widget can be added to either a fixed width, or Responsive page. It can also be used as a fixed width, or full width object.
In the following example, we are going to add the widget in to a Responsive page.
In our example, the Carousel Widget uses the full width of the page, as indicated by the Full Width info box displayed just outside the bottom left hand corner of the widget.
Adjust the height of the widget using the top center or bottom center grab handles.
At the center of the widget is the Add button which lets you quickly add your first slide object to the slideshow.
On the left and right hand sides of the widget, are the previous and next slide buttons used to navigate the slideshow.
Dashed Distance Indicator lines show how far the buttons are from the vertical center of the widget, and from the right, or left hand side of the widget.
When you click on either button, its object name label will be displayed.
In the top right hand corner of the widget is the Move icon. Use it to drag and drop the widget to a new location on the page.
The Object Label Toolbar is located at either the top, or bottom of the widget.
The Up and Down arrows let you move the widget up and down the page without disturbing objects within the widget.
The Add button lets you add objects to the widget.
The Settings Cog accesses the Widget Settings. These settings are also available in the Widget Settings tab.
The Trashcan icon deletes the widget. If you delete the widget by mistake, press Command-Z on a Mac, and Control-Z on Windows, to immediately undo the deletion.
You can change the Widget's name using the Settings Cog’s Name option, using the Name field in the Widget Settings, or by double clicking on the name itself in the Carousel’s Toolbar.
To add an object in to the Carousel Widget, either click on the Add button in the middle of the widget if it is available, use the Add button in the Object Label Toolbar, or drag and drop the object you want in to the widget.
Access the Widget Settings from the Settings Cog or the Widget Settings Tab.
The first option is Name.
The second option is Height. When Fixed, you can manually control the widget’s height. When set to Auto, EverWeb automatically adjusts the widget’s height.
The Vertical option aligns objects inside the widget to the top, middle, or bottom of the widget.
Use the Slide Spacing option to change the spacing between slide objects in the Carousel.
The available Slide animation types are: Slide, fade, cube, coverflow, flip and cards.
Animation Speed changes the animation speed.
By default the animation will Loop with the slides Centered. Toggle these settings as desired.
You can also toggle autoplay on or off, change the slideshow speed and toggle the slideshow to stop when moused over.
I am going to add a different objects to the Carousel. Let’s begin with a video fill. Click on the Add button then choose Video.
In the Shape Options tab select the YouTube option. Enter the YouTube Link.
Next add an image to the Carousel, using EverWeb’s Free Stock Photos feature. Drag and drop the image you want either to the right of the video. Add additional objects as desired.
Lastly, add some introductory text then style. Move the TextBox to the right of the video.
Navigate through the added objects using the previous and next buttons.
Reorder the objects by drag and dropping them. A dashed guide line will help.
Use the Slide Spacing option to add spacing between the slides.
