If you're new to volleyball and are trying to learn how to block a volleyball, you're in the right place!
There are three main concepts players need to understand in order to block a volleyball successfully.
The main concepts are:
1) Hand Shape
2) Arm Positioning
3) Timing
Now, these are just the basic fundamentals which players need to learn in order to get better at blocking! There's a lot more that goes into it!
Blocking technique can get complicated later on, but if you are coaching for the first time or coaching a new team of volleyball players, use these coaching tips to help you teach how to bloack a volleyball at your next practice!
Although you may think only tall players should block, EVERYONE needs to learn how to block in the sport of volleyball! So it is just as important to teach your setter how to block as it is to teach your middle blocker!
