How to Connect Core to LayerZero to Bridge BTC.b
As the crypto world continues to expand, it’s becoming increasingly important to be able to bridge assets from one blockchain network to another. Fortunately, users of Core have all the tools necessary to do this quickly. Watch this brief video to learn how to bridge to Avalanche with your Bitcoin assets.
Here are the steps to connect Core to LayerZero to bridge BTC.b:
1.Download the Core Extension: https://extension.core.app/
3. Click the Core icon on your browser to open the extension.
4. Click the “x” icon on the lower right-hand corner of the window to bring up the menu of options. Select “Bridge.”
5. On the Bridge window, select Bitcoin for your “From” option. Avalanche should be set as “To.” Click "Add Bitcoin" (immediately below the Bitcoin field).
6. You will see a Core address that you will use to receive Bitcoin. Copy it and send the Bitcoin. Then close this window.
7. Back on the Bridge window, add the Bitcoin to the “From” field, then press the “Transfer” button at the bottom.
8. Switch to the Bitcoin App on Ledger, approve the bridge transaction.
9. You will see a Transaction Status window that tracks the progress of your Bitcoin bridge request. Give it a few moments to complete. You have the option of using the “Hide Transaction” button to perform other activities while you wait.
10. Once the transaction has completed, your Bitcoin will be shown as “BTC.b” under your Avalanche C-Chain assets. These coins are available for use immediately.
11. Navigate to bitcoinbridge.network and connect Core.
12. Select the network to bridge BTC.b and follow the prompts in Core.
