Gucci's beef with Envy was rooted in comments Envy made on Breakfast Club Court. Envy had referenced Gucci’s infamous 2013 Twitter rant where he claimed to have slept with several women in the music industry, including Nicki Minaj, Ciara, and Monica. This didn't sit well with Gucci, who accused Envy of being too scared to show up for the interview alongside Charlamagne. “He ain’t have the nuts to come,” Gucci said. “I’mma confront him about what he and Angela did, and if he come at me wrong, I’mma slap the ish out him. It ain’t gonna be his first time getting slapped.”
