Champcar Jetta | Pulling the drivetrain
What better way to spend a Friday night than pulling the old engine out of our Jetta TDI race car?
The team is continuing to prep our Volkswagen Jetta TDI race car for upcoming Champcar endurance racing by removing the engine and transmission that came with the car. We'll still be using a TDI powerplant, but have a fresher engine and a 6 speed manual transmission to run instead.
Our chassis and platform will be a bit unconventional, but we're hoping to maximize the limits of the rules to remain competitive in class. This project will take a village so please comment below with your ideas, suggestions, and experience!
