It includes applications like Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and more. Google Workspace allows businesses and organizations to use these tools for communication, file storage, and collaboration.
In Google Workspace, the distribution of cloud storage is generally managed through a shared storage pool. Here's how it typically works for email IDs:
User Quotas: Each user within a Google Workspace subscription is assigned a storage quota, which covers both their email and file storage. The amount of storage quota may vary depending on the subscription plan (e.g., Basic, Business, Enterprise).
Shared Storage Pool: The total storage space available across all users in the organization is pooled together. This means that the storage space for email and files is shared among all users within the organization.
Email Storage: The emails and attachments sent and received by users are stored in their Gmail accounts. These emails count towards the storage quota for each user.
File Storage: Files uploaded to Google Drive (including documents, spreadsheets, presentations, etc.) also count towards the user's storage quota. However, Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and other Google Workspace files created within these applications don't count towards the storage quota.

Upgrading Storage: If an organization's users collectively use up the available storage quota, administrators can upgrade the subscription to a plan with more storage space.
