In this video, presenting automation of wrike with Asana.
Let’s understand automation. Automation rules are a part of Wrike’s automation.
By creating rules, one along with the team can employ the right to automatically perform various actions with tasks and projects, if one is handling all the work manually.
The first step is to quickly access some space. Here, one can choose to open any space. Let’s open the space called actionable meetings. Now let’s click on the gear icon from the top over here. Here in one can the Tabs like, - General, Custom item types, Custom fields, workflows, Automation, Request forms.
One can click and choose Automation. After clicking on automation, one can create a rule from here and with that the new rule is created. Here, there are three steps such as - Add trigger, add condition, and add action.
The next step is to click on the select item type and apply to the new meeting. Here, let’s select triggers with various options such as - All direct sub-item statuses change too, status change to, status doesn't change in, and other options are custom field changes, New item created, the date in the field meets a condition.
Let's choose - the first option - When all direct sub-item statuses change to. Select all active, and then select on add a condition. Here in select, the assignee as Sania and then select an action from the left, and change item status to, now, select the status and from the drop down choose new.
So I have created a rule which says that which will be applied to the new meeting folder. And when all the directories of item statuses change to all active and the assignee is sania, then the status will be changed to new.
So, here, one can create a rule that will be applied to the new meeting folder. With options when all direct sub-item statuses change to - all active, with condition one has assigned to and and the status to be changed to New.
There are options to add another option also. But here let's create and continue. So whenever one goes to a new meeting folder, one will be able to apply this automation. And there are various automations available in wrike, in the rule constructor that opens. One can select the rule, apply to the task or projects, and select their locations.
Select and set up the available trigger, as previously explained, add one or more conditions, and then one will be able to select the options of the rules. Now, one can click on create and create a rule like the above. One can also add as many rules from the ADD rule tab.
Here the automation rule constructor consists of four sections that one needs to fill in the automation rule to work. And then there is a section to apply and all the things.
