Chiefs, Royals unveil stadium lease agreements with Jackson County pending voter approval
The Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals have signed new leases with Jackson County, pending approval of the stadium sales tax in next week's election. The Chiefs' lease terms outline a 25-year lease with three five-year renewal options after Kauffman Stadium is demolished. Rent for the Chiefs will be $1,100,000 per year plus percentage rent.
