"A lot of my work is about acceptance and difference, and that all stems from childhood," says textile artist Richard Saja in this episode of "Outside the Lines" with host Richard T. Scott. The self-taught Saja creates fine arts embroidery on toile de jouy, where mythical and monstrous characters in brightly colored thread invade the classical scene. Saja shares how he follows his inspiration, makes work without worrying about its marketability or imposing a meaning, and finding what only he can do.
