Welcome back to the channel. In this tutorial, I will show you how to enable HTTPS on Namecheap so your website is secure and trusted by visitors. HTTPS uses an SSL certificate to encrypt data and display the secure padlock in the browser.
First, log in to your Namecheap account and go to your dashboard. If you have not already purchased an SSL certificate, go to the SSL certificates section and buy one. After purchasing, go to your domain list, click manage next to your domain, and look for the option to activate your SSL certificate. Follow the prompts to generate and submit a CSR, which stands for certificate signing request, usually done through your hosting provider.
Next, complete the domain validation process. This can be done through email, DNS, or file upload depending on your choice. Once validated, you will receive your SSL certificate files. Install these files on your hosting account using your hosting control panel, such as cPanel or another dashboard provided by your host.
Finally, force your site to use HTTPS by updating your settings or adding a redirect in your hosting control panel. After everything is set up, visit your website and check for the padlock icon in the browser. That means HTTPS is enabled successfully.
