During a scheduled repair of a bridge support, workers discover a cavity that shouldn't exist.
Inside is a man, walled up alive thirty years ago.
Detective Alexei Vorontsov discovers that the deceased is the construction site's chief engineer, who disappeared on the eve of the bridge's opening in the 1990s. He was declared a thief and a fugitive, but the truth was more terrifying: he discovered fatal flaws in the design and attempted to halt construction. For this, he was executed and turned into part of the supporting structure.
The investigation leads Vorontsov to current officials, old embezzlement schemes, and a system that has built the city on sand and lies for decades. When the truth begins to emerge, the concrete cracks, the bridge hums under the load, and the hunt turns on the detective himself.
"Concrete Sarcophagus" is an original audio detective story about how the past returns from the foundation, why honesty becomes a death sentence, and what happens when the truth proves heavier than concrete.
This story is entirely the author's own. All characters and events are fictitious.
