Well in some cases you have to grant access to your google analytics account to someone else. Let's say you have hired someone for SEO services and now they want to check the traffic sources, top pages, audience or whatever. This is a case when you have to grant access to your google analytics to someone else.
There are 3 layers of access.
1. Account level this will provide access to all properties and view types on that account
2. Property level this will provide access to all view types in that property.
3. View type this will provide access to only that view which is selected.
Make sure you share your important data with only people you trust, if your competitor can have access to your google analytics they can easily beat you!
