Pause Video or Hold/Freeze Frame in Shotcut
A simple trick to work around the missing hold frame effect filter in Shotcut. You simply stop at the frame where you want the hold effect and go to "File/Export frame". then you add this frame back to shotcut by dragging and dropping. You can either overlay the video on a new track or avoid adding a new layer and skipping at the end of the hold by splitting the video and inserting the screenshot between the two resulting clips.
