Hello Guys , This video is about understanding the working of shebang with Interpreter program in text executable files and purpose of ./ while executing files in Linux . Along with these , we will also talk about the directory reference take by executable files during its execution.
I had started with explaining Shebang which is used to define the interpreter program to be used while executing the file by program loader . The executable file path is simply passes as an argument to interpreter program defined at top of the file . I had provided multiple examples to explain working of shebang in detail.
After that , we will talk about the necessity of path to execute any executable. The ./ is nothing more than a path to execute file . To execute any executable , given the path is compulsory. Multiple examples for it is provided along with elaborating the method to execute files without externally defining the file path .
At the end , We will discuss about the reference or the base path taken by executable files during its execution. I had tried to clear this confusion by giving many examples.
