KSHMR Bloom is a virtual instrument plugin (VST/AU) developed by Excite Audio in partnership with KSHMR, designed to blend traditional Indian and South Asian sounds with modern production workflows. It features over 250 presets including drum circles, tablas, sitars, bansuri flutes, and expressive vocal performances, all expertly recorded and curated by KSHMR and top instrumentalists from the region.[1][2][4]
Key Features
A unique sample-based engine allows layering and sequencing of one-shots and loops, which enables seamless phrase creation and rhythmic programming, ideal for Bollywood, EDM, pop, and cinematic music.[5][1]
The plugin provides four powerful macros (Lo-Fi, Tube, Width, and Space) for instant sound shaping, and three main effects sections: Noise (with 15 types), Reverb (hall, plate, spring), and Dynamics (compression, transient shaping).[4][1][5]
Users can import up to 112 of their own samples alongside the factory library, fully personalizing the instrument.[1][4]
All included samples are royalty-free, and the plugin is designed for both fast sketching and deep programming, supporting detailed manipulations of pitch, formant, attack/release, and step sequencing for each sample layer.[4][5]
Lite Version
A free “Bloom KSHMR Lite” version is available, offering 75 presets and 56 royalty-free samples, providing a focused palette of South Asian and Middle Eastern instruments and vocal textures for producers on a budget or sketching ideas on the go.[6]
Who Is It For?
KSHMR Bloom is ideal for music producers who want instant access to authentic Indian and South Asian textures, or anyone seeking a sample-based instrument that excels at creative sequencing and cinematic layering beyond standard sample packs.[5][1]
Notable Details
The interface is beginner-friendly but powerful, with macros mapped for fast results and advanced controls for detailed editing.[1][4]
