Gigafactory Texas on 29 January 2021! This is where the Cyber Truck and Model Y will be built!
Good day to fly on an early morning at Giga Texas! In the video we discuss implications to Giga Texas of the Q4 meeting and report with narration and illustrations and we discuss the potential location for the Cyber Truck mega casting machine at 8,000-tons of pressure.
Highlights from today include:
Concrete structure roof being prepared for more concrete, more slabs poured under the roof, a large section of the west wall installed and perimeter grade beam work on south and east continuing
More prefabricated wall panels and "Double-T's" arrived and temporarily stored on the south side and a new trench started in the southwest side of the foundation
Footings on the east have reached the concrete structure full width and the reinforced rectangular area has received more concrete
The paint shop steel structure east expansion is now within 3 sections form the south extend of the paint shop itself and getting close to join with the east steel structure.
East steel structure continues growing south quickly, and getting closer to the concrete structure ... at this pace in about a week to 10 days, these should join.
West steel structure has grown to within 1 section of the north extent of the perimeter grade beam and the east and south sides have continued growing, both expanding in the southerly direction
Casting machine area roof has grown and more long roof beams installed
Casting machine assembly continues with newly arrived parts, hinting that we may see a fully assembled machine in the next few days. Many more to come!
More work grading, filling and compacting the construction area just south of the old plant
Materials and large spools of cabling being stored on the far east clearing now while active clearing continues
