1949 Jeep Truck project (restoration)
I began this project on Labor Day 2006. The chassis is pretty much done, still need to put fluids in everything. The frame is painted with POR-15. The engine is a rebuilt L4-134.2 ci. "go-devil" engine. It has a T90-C transmission with a rare Warn overdrive. The finial gear is 5.38 to 1. This means, with the Warn overdrive engaged, I should be running ~2100 rpm at 60 MPH. Without, ~3100 rpm. I have also installed a plastic gas tank. The reason the rear axle is disassembled is beacuse I was replacing bearings I forgot to replace, when I changed all the other ones. The cab was at where I work. I soda blasted it the day after this video was taken (June 2)....I hope you enjoy (ed) seeing my work, and will soon be starting it for the first time. I will post a video of that also.
