JA Solar was founded in 2005, with its first manufacturing base opening in Fengxian, China. The company was listed on the United Stated NASDAQ Exchange in 2007, has been listed on the Fortune China 500 and the Global Top 500 New Energy Enterprises. It has since opened up a total of 12 manufacturing bases and over 20 branches around the globe.

Their most popular solar products in Australia are their range of solar panels. These include the Poly panel, the Mono PERC panel and the Half Cell panel.
