Feature film "Vodyanoy" (1961)
Prokhor Lykov (Erast Garin) spends entire days fishing on the shore of the local lake, earning the villagers the nickname "Vodyanoy" (Water Spirit). Neighbors long mocked his passion for fishing and wondered how to get any use out of such a good-for-nothing. Then the chairman had an idea: give Prokhor a public service job, supplying fish for the collective farm.
