Titans Season 2 Episode 9: Winner Take All
Robin, Cyborg, and Beast Boy are pulled into another dimension and invited by the Master of Games to join the “Tournament of Heroes”, including Hot Spot, Aqualad, Wildebeest, Gizmo, and Speedy. At first it seems like a friendly contest for glory and a grand prize, but the Master is actually using the tournament to trap the losers in his ruby amulet and steal their powers and weapons.
Robin gets caught up in winning, while Cyborg starts suspecting something is wrong. The Master defeats Cyborg and absorbs his tech, along with powers stolen from the other losers. Robin, Speedy, and Wildebeest advance, and Robin eventually wins the final battle. But after winning, he discovers the Master’s real plan and that all the defeated heroes are imprisoned in the amulet.
Robin teams up with Cyborg and Speedy to challenge the Master, destroy the jewel, and free everyone. The heroes escape, Robin learns that winning is not everything, and they all leave as honorary Titans. At the end, the Master of Games returns and invites the female heroes to a new “Tournament of Heroines.”
