Jumping the Avon Pier with Nick Baines
REAL team rider Nick Baines started his Cape Hatteras adventure in 2008. Since then he’s been continually pushing himself and his riding, making a name for himself in the big air circles.
Four years ago Nick set a goal to jump the Avon Pier in Avon, North Carolina. It wasn’t a short-term goal, something on the horizon, much like the horizon he leaves every session when he takes to the sky.
On November 8th, 2022 Nick achieved his goal, easily clearing the pier while simultaneously melting down the internet as the video and photos went viral on YouTube, Surfline, Stab, Volcom, Kook Slams (they thought he flew away forever), and many more media channels.
