0:01 In this simple video, designed for people like you and me, who are not familiar with phones, I'm going to explain in a very simple way how to solve a small problem we have on our Redmi, POCO, or Xiaomi. When we press the button to turn off the phone, the Google Assistant appears, but what you want is to turn off or restart the phone.
0:35 So, in this video, in a very simple and easy way, I'm going to explain how by changing a small setting, which we have a bit hidden on our phone, we can do what we really want.
0:50 The first thing we'll do is go to the phone's Settings and within the menu, scroll until we find a section that should be called Additional Settings. Within this section, which has many interesting options, we'll choose Gesture Shortcuts. The first option is the one we need to use in this case: Start Google Assistant. Press and hold the Power button for 0.5 seconds. Once inside, it's quite simple, since we only have the option to deactivate it, which is what we have to press.
