INTRODUCTION
The present project is designed using an Arduino UNO- microcontroller to detect temperature of machine which are overheated. It is important in places like industries, companies and homes consisting of big machines where it is very necessary to take some action in case the machine overheats. In this system we use the digital sensor of temperature which is used to detect the temperature and after detecting the temperature it send signals toward the Arduino Uno- microcontroller, the microcontroller computes on the data and then transfer the temperature reading and then this reading is displayed on the screen, the Arduino Uno- microcontroller also powers our machine since it will be connected to laptop or to a 9volts adaptor. This chapter covers the background of the project, an insight of the problem that made you do this research and highlighting maps of the project in the form aim, objective, method as well the summary of other chapters.

1.2 Background of the study

Machines in industries, companies and homes which do either manufacturing or any other operations are subjected to loads that cause heat; sometimes heat occurs in electrical equipment such as the electric motors etc. Therefore they is need for inexpensive and low energy –consuming device to function as a temperature monitor, providing an overheat signal for a particular environment of many different machines used in the manufacturing .they is need for a machine overheat device to be fit either be it in thermal contact with the equipment or within the equipment ,and to give a clear warning signal when the equipment’s reaches a temperature that indicates it is overheating ,a number of industries have burned because of temperatures which increased leading to a fire .it is of great important to use such devices to secure our machines from heating even in safety of human life in case the machines burnout .in this 20th century where technology is available to everybody and make people’s life and work easier they is need for machine overheat detection with alert either be it an alarm or buzzer .

1.3 Problem statement

Factories, homes has burned due to machines temperature overheat and this is because there was no machine overheat detector alert system.

1.4 Project aims

The main aim of this project is to design a machine that will alert people at an industry, companies and homes if a machine overheats or temperature exceeds limit , the device will be connected thermally to a machine to give clear overheat sign be it with a buzzer or alarm ,if machines reaches a temperature that indicates it is overheating

1.5 Objectives.

The system should detect the equipment temperature.
Under normal temperature the system should always light a green LED light
If the equipment temperature goes above 27 degrees Celsius should light a red LED light and sound a buzzer.
