But Simon Cowell was brought to tears after a clip for the X Factor: Celebrity charity single was aired during the ITV show's final on Saturday.
The British music mogul, 60, was seen crying before long-time girlfriend Lauren Silverman rushed to comfort him, just hours before the show's new track - a cover of Snow Patrol's Run - soared to number one on the iTunes music chart.The tune is available to buy from Saturday with proceeds going towards Together For Short Lives and Shooting Star Children’s Hospices.
Finalists, Max and Harvey, Jenny Ryan, V5 and the show's winner Megan McKenna all recorded parts of the single.
