Cosmic Horror in Baldur's Gate 3 - (Dungeons and Dragons)
In this video, we are exploring the concept of cosmic horror in Larian Studios’ roleplaying game, Baldur’s Gate 3, specifically analyzing the Mind Flayer lore in Dungeons and Dragons, and how it represents itself in the beta version of the RPG so far. Cosmic horror and Mind Flayers go hand in hand, and I hope that my insight into why I think this game is doing it well, as well as commenting on the narrative design and how it relates to the players experience, is useful to you if you’re a storyteller, writer, avid Baldur’s Gate fan, or just love roleplaying games!
