Hey we are trying to help you recover your databases from your old XAMPP installation there are various reasons when you are unable to open PHPmyadmin on your old XAMPP installation, sometime xampp got corrupted and sometime anything can happen.
You just need to be careful by copying your mysql folder from old installation
Then install new xampp and change ibdata_1 file there, then copy all database directories in /'data folder.
