In this video, I demonstrate a step-by-step approach to creating a procedural character model in Houdini. Starting with a simple skeleton setup, I show how to generate and sweep geometry along those skeletal lines, using ramps and attribute manipulation for fine-tuned control of shape and profile. You’ll see how to procedurally adjust body parts—arms, legs, hands, and feet—by resampling lines, modifying curves, and setting up parameters to create a flexible, stylized character form. Finally, I combine everything into a unified mesh and mirror it for a symmetrical result, ready for rigging and further refinement. This workflow highlights the power of Houdini’s node-based system for iterative, adjustable character creation.
