Archie Comics are desperate to make new character Eliza Han a big deal. Unfortunately, they've made writer Tee Franklin the real hero of the story and promotion. Tee Franklin doesn't have much in the way of a buying audience. Comics readers are aware she fills every story she writes with self-insert characters or changes existing characters to be more like her. Tee Franklin sees herself as the aspirational hero in her comics. It feels like some publishers feel the same way. But comic book fans don't see it that way at all. Archie and Tee Franklin can put all the qualifiers on Eliza Han they want. People know she's just another self-insert character. Because Tee Franklin thinks she is the aspiration hero in her comic books.
