GE/ Haier Window A/C Electronic control not working Error 88 Message easy retrofit to Thermostat
Apparently this is a common problem on these cheap window A/C's where they just start beeping and don't work. Turns out its easier than I thought to just stick a cheap home thermostat on one. Wiring diagram at the end if you're in a hurry...
