N&W 611 We Want You Back .wmv
I have produced this video about steam engine No. 611. Currently an inspection of the locomotive is underway to see if it can be returned to operation.This video is to celebrate and to remember the sights and sounds of this great machine and to help generate awareness to the campaign going on to inspect the 611 for soon to be future operation. All photos and video footage have been taken by me.
I've edited the scenes to Bon Jovi's "Dead Or Alive" song. I do not own the rights to the music in this presentation. This video is not for sale. It is purely for entertainment purposes on Youtube. update: 3/01/2014 - THANK YOU everyone for 8,884 views! With much response from around the world, the camapign to get the 611 running again is underway. According to the Virginia Museum of Transportation (611's home) people from around the world have donated money to provide the funds needed for the overhaul that the 611 will under go soon. And special consideration of thanks must go to Norfolk Southern for donating $ 1.5 million to the Fire Up 611 Campaign. Also, thank you to all my fellow Amtrak / MARC co-workers for the compliments on this video. Let's keep the ball rolling! Fire Up 611!!!!!
