Le baobab fou is a fictional autobiographical narrative by the Senegalese writer Ken Bugul. In Le baobab fou, the narrator reveals her experiences as a colonial subject in Senegal and an African migrant in Europe. The narrative is not only about exposure of the woman’s body, but also about the unveiling of the postcolonial African woman’s self.
