This quick clip shows how to refresh stacks, in this example I'm using AP. One can use this on any item that stacks and has a decay timer.
First identify the stack with the "freshest" decay timer. move one unit from that stack into your inventory, then move a whole stack with the shortest timer remaining(about to decay). into your inventory. the single unit should now be a full(er) stack all at the longer timer. if you now have two stacks one with the shorter timer move that stack back. continue to move from the longer timer 1 unit and then the whole stack with the shorter timer into your inventory, but don't move the longer stacks back from your inventory until you have refreshed all the stacks with the shorter timer - else you can accidentally shorten a long timer.
Once you have that idea down it is easy to take the stack with the Longest timer and split it into several single stacks and then move all the other stacks with a short timer over and each refreshes into the stacks with the longer timer.
Preserving salts in your inventory can also be a good idea.
This is not a Glitch or a hack so you don't have to worry about getting into trouble doing this.
Using this video as an example, with Org. polymer and a sufficient number of snails....and a dedicated player it would be possible to constantly refresh it while saving up thousands of O.Poly. yes I do know there are better and easier ways to get poly. but once you understand the basics, the only limit is you.
