Uşak is a city full of surprises. It's filled with natural beauty and wonders. It has a rich history and stories.
1- Ulubey Canyon, the world's second-longest canyon after the Grand Canyon, is located here. Declared a Nature Park, you can spend time on the glass terrace overlooking the canyon. Note: There are restrooms, restrooms, and food and beverage facilities.
2- Taşyaran Valley, another natural wonder. You can visit the rocks, which stand like natural sculptures, especially in the early morning hours.
The valley also has picnic areas, and mornings are ideal for watching the changing landscapes with the sun and listening to the magnificent birdsong.
3- The ancient city of Blaundos, extending into the valley like a peninsula, has a truly mystical atmosphere with its stacked stones, known as Stoneage in Turkey. It's a delight to see these witnesses who have defied the ages and to gaze down upon the valley that forms the Lydian-Phrygian border.
4- Uşak carpets were quite famous in the Ottoman Empire and Europe. These woolen carpets, colored with madder dyes and adorning palaces and places of worship, have endured for hundreds of years without disintegrating. And of course, with their motifs symbolizing eternity and power, and their many other stories, they constitute a significant cultural heritage.
5- The famous treasures of Croesus were found near Uşak. You can see this richness and aesthetic at the Uşak Archaeological Museum.
6- When it comes to food and drink in Uşak, the first thing that comes to mind is our traditional soup, the healing tarhana, and the Uşak döner börek (a type of pastry) are noteworthy.
7- Clandras Bridge, built for centuries to carry water to ancient cities, still carries people and looks aesthetically pleasing.
