Many young artists asked me: 'Do you think my art could sell? How could I make the first sale?' Today I would like to introduce you to the business concept MVP, which could help answer these questions.
If you are into business and startup, you probably have heard about this MVP term from the Lean Startup. It means the minimum product you could build that your clients want to buy.
As an artist, you could also learn from this MVP concept and start selling your art. What kind of qualities and features your collectors are looking for? Can you produce some artworks that satisfy such wants and needs? Your goal is not to overdo it - all you need is to build a selling product (in this case, pieces of art) and make your first sales! From there, you will progress and become a professional artist.
