This is a very delicious chicken curry, where the chicken is slow cooked with onions and mustard garlic gravy. It's an ideal accompaniment to rice or roti. Authentic Bengali chicken curry recipe and is very delicious and simultaneously easy to cook.
Ingredients:
Chicken with bones - 500g
Curd - 100g
Mustard paste - 5 tsp ( 25 g mustard seeds + 8 garlic pods + 5 green chillies ground and made into a paste with 1 tbsp water)
Mustard oil - 3 tbsp + 2tsp
Chopped coriander leaves - 1 tbsp
Onion slices - 1 cup ( 4 medium sized)
Salt - to taste
Black pepper - 2 tsp
Kashmiri red chili powder - 2 tsp
Water - 1/2 cup
